Summer Camp Groups:

This programme is specially designed for foreign students who would like to improve their English or Mandarin in the shortest time possible, while taking the time to learn more about Singapore’s culture and tour Singapore. It is an opportunity for students to develop their English or Mandarin Conversational skills in a stimulating environment that encourages language enrichment and development. Objectives 

This course aims to improve foreign students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English within the shortest time, with the help of our dedicated teachers who are very experienced in teaching English language.

Lesson Time 

A: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
B: Monday to Friday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
C: Monday to Friday, 9 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Course Certification 

Certificate will be awarded upon passing the examination.

Foreign Language Training Course For Secondary & Junior

 

          College Students

Objectives  

Spring College International offers conversational courses for all 3 mother-tongue languages – Chinese, Malay and Tamil. The course is specially designed for students who wish to pick up another race’s mother tongue, and will provide one of the most effective, practical, affordable and fun ways to learn a new language. This course aims to introduce the proper speech and pronunciation to enable the students to carry out conversations in another mother-tongue language, since we are living in a multi-racial society. We will guide students to engage in conversations by training them to form sentences with proper structures. The course places much emphasis on improving the ability of the learners to use the newly-learned language to converse with their friends of other races.


Course Outline  

  • Proper speech and pronunciation
  • Grammatical rules
  • Proper sentences in the right structures
  • Phonics (Hanyu Pinyin) [for mandarin]


Course Materials  

Course Materials and Textbooks are compulsory and at a minimal fee. Material fees are subjected to change depending on the level.


Frequency of lessons  

Twice a week, each lesson lasting 2 hours
- 20 Lessons (Complete in 2.5 months)

*Lesson schedule and detailed course contents can be specially designed to meet the differing needs of various schools.


Course Certification  

There will be an examination at the end of the lesson and after which, certification by SCI will be awarded.

2-Way Translation SKILL Courses
(English and Chinese)

Course Outline  

Study Chinese and English simultaneously, emphasizing on 2-way translation English and Chinese

  • Ensure accuracy in reproducing an almost similar meaning of the source text after translation
  • Communicating by expressing all aspects of the source text in a way that is readily understandable to the audience


Course Materials  

Course Materials and Textbooks are compulsory and at a minimal fee. Material fees are subjected to change depending on the level.


Frequency of lessons  

Twice a week, each lesson lasting 2 hours
- 20 Lessons (Complete in 2.5 months)

* Lesson schedule and detailed course contents can be specially designed to meet the differing needs of various schools.


Requirement  

Students must attain a certain proficiency in both English and Chinese before entering this course. Else, they would have to take up language courses with SPRING before this stage.


Course Certification  

There will be an examination at the end of the lesson and after which, certification by SCI will be awarded.
