This programme is specially designed for foreign students who would like to improve their English or Mandarin in the shortest time possible, while taking the time to learn more about Singapore’s culture and tour Singapore. It is an opportunity for students to develop their English or Mandarin Conversational skills in a stimulating environment that encourages language enrichment and development. Objectives 

This course aims to improve foreign students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English within the shortest time, with the help of our dedicated teachers who are very experienced in teaching English language.

Lesson Time 

A: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
B: Monday to Friday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
C: Monday to Friday, 9 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Course Certification 

Certificate will be awarded upon passing the examination.

P1 to P2 English Tuition Course (Phonics Course)

 

Objectives  

Spring conducts English phonics courses for students from P1 to P2 level in government primary schools. The main aim in lower primary should be for children to develop a love for English and be able to communicate in it. As such, the course teaches phonics in an interesting way to allow students to get used to English sounds at a young age, cultivating interest to motivate further advancement in English learning. This is especially essential for children who have just started to begin formal education and would like to improve on their reading skills. Teachers will encourage open discussions to build up students’ confidence and thus foster creativity and intelligence, helping them to lay a good foundation early.

  

Course Outline  

  • The aural recognition and discrimination of English sounds
  • Correct Pronunciation of English sounds
  • Writing of English letters
  • Relationship between letters
  • Development of early writing and pre-writing skills
