Mandarin Course(Conversational)

 

Objectives  

The Mandarin language is one of the most widely spoken and used language in the 21st century. SCI offers a conversational mandarin course which allows students to learn in the most effective, practical, fun and affordable way. This course aims to introduce the proper speech and pronunciation, and also allow the students to carry out conversations in Mandarin in the correct grammatical rules and proper sentence structures. Students are able to proceed from level 1 up to level 6 to improve their conversational ability. The course places much emphasis on improving the ability of the learners to use Chinese for daily communication.


Course Outline   

  • Correct Pronunciation
  • Start simple basic conversation in daily life
  • Discussion of wide range of topics, which builds up confidence in mandarin
  • Sharing of mutual ideas and interests
  • Description of pictures


Lesson Time  

Each level consists of 16 lessons of 1.5 hours or
8 lessons of 3 hours
- Each level will take 2 months to complete
- Preferred schedule can be discussed further


Course Certification  

Students can receive a certificate by SCI upon completion of the course. Whether or not to take an examination at the end of the course is optional.

 


Requirements  

Level 1 Conversational Mandarin Course – No requirement
Level 2 or above - sit for a placement test/interview to assess your mandarin proficiency.


Course Materials   

Course Materials and Textbooks are compulsory and at a minimal fee. Material fees are subjected to change depending on the level.


Teachers  

We have highly qualified teachers who are dedicated and responsible. Our teachers who are experienced in their teaching subject are also very amicable and caring. The teachers are able to converse in both English/Mandarin as well to facilitate explanation.
