I come from Harbin, southern part of China. I am 19, and I came to Spring Language School to learn English last year. After studying English for one year, I sit for the TOEFL examination this year and attain a score of 610 marks. I cannot believe that a person like me, who cannot even ask for directions in simple English one year ago, has improved to such a tremendous amount. This is all due to the teachers’ guidance and the conducive learning environment. I am currently applying for a scholarship in University of California, majoring in the Computer Engineering degree course.
My fellow secondary classmates in China, on the other hand, have not made much improvement in their English, due to the learning environment. I think it is therefore very important to have a conducive environment for one to learn.
Initially, I felt very embarrassed when I was unable to get into a university back in China. That was why I went online to look for overseas schools with the intention of learning English well first before making any other plans. I came across Spring Language Centre under the list of educational institutions found on the Singapore Yahoo website. I was immediately attracted by the programmes offered by Spring Language School upon entering the website and so I went to try it out. Evidence shows that my decision is correct; Spring Language School is indeed the best international language school.

Upon receiving the notification letter of acceptance into Singapore Polytechnic, 18-year old me heaved a sigh of relief. This is all thanks to Spring Language School. It is extremely unbelievable that I am able to obtain a good TOEFL score of 600 marks, which allows me to be accepted into Singapore Polytechnic easily, although I have only come from China to Singapore to study for just a mere 7 months.
Based on my experience, I feel that although the learning environment is an important factor, the student‘s learning attitude is even more important. At home, I am the only son; I do not have interest in studying and fail to go to university. This fact causes worry for my parents and so they send me to Spring Language School to learn English.
I am immediately influenced by the keen learning attitude of the students in the school. Everybody studies all the time. In addition, the teachers also inculcate moral values to us, making us feel the passion for learning. All the teachers here set high standards for their students but they also have great passion for teaching and their ultimate goal is to help each and every one of the students in their studies. What can you still say about such a good school like this?

My name is Wang Xiao Min, I am 13 years old this year, currently studying in Secondary One in a girls’ school in Singapore. It is all because of Spring Language School that I am able to get into such a good secondary school. 10 months ago, I came from Indonesia to Singapore to take the examination for secondary school but I was not successful because my English is too poor. Luckily someone introduced me to study at Spring Language Centre. I learn English in the morning, and Mathematics and Science in the afternoon. The teachers here are very strict; if you do not finish your work, they will not allow you to go back. However if you have anything that you are not sure of, they are most wiling to clarify your doubts.
My English hence improves tremendously under such circumstances, and other subjects become easier for me. Now, besides doing my homework every day, I also like to take part in outdoor activities with my friends, speaking English as fluently as the locals here.

I am 8 years old this year, I come from China and have been living in Singapore for the past six months, and my mother also accompanies me to Spring Language Centre to learn English. I can now use English to converse with my mother at home, which is so interesting. My mother says that Spring Language Centre can help us transfer to an American school to study as long as we learn to speak English well. When I grow up, I will be able to enter a university in America. That’s why I keep promising myself, I must learn to speak English well.
