What Is The GCE O-Level Exam?
O-Level Private Candidate Eligibility
To be eligible to register as a private candidate, students must be at least 15 years old as of January 1st of the year they are sitting for the examination, and are not enrolled in government schools. Registration is done through SEAB’s Candidate Portal, and you will be assigned an exam centre, usually a secondary school near your residence. The exact location will be shown on your entry proof after registration.
Whether you take the O-Level examinations as a school candidate or a private candidate, the GCE O-Level qualification awarded is exactly the same.

Preparatory Course for GCE O-Level Exam
Preparing for O-Levels as a private candidate does not mean studying alone. With the right guidance, structured training, and exam-focused preparation, students can significantly improve their results. Spring College International offers a full-time O-Level Preparatory Course that is designed to provide the structure of a school with the focused intensity of a tuition centre to help you ace the O-Level exam.
Duration: 6 to 12 months (full-time course)

- Elementary Mathematics
- Additional Mathematics
- Combined Science (Chemistry & Physics)
- Principles of Accounts
- Chinese Language (conducted as an intensive class before exam)
Class Timing: Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm
