About International Business Management Course
Why International Business Management?
In Singapore’s globally connected economy, businesses across every sector require professionals who understand international markets, cross-cultural management, and the integrated functions of modern business — accounting, marketing, operations, and information systems. As a regional headquarters for many multinational companies and a gateway to Southeast Asia, Singapore offers exceptional career opportunities for business management graduates.
Our Two-level Progression
Our International Business Management qualifications are designed as a progressive pathway. You can join at the level that matches your current education and career stage, and continue upward as your career grows:
Diploma
Covers foundational business knowledge — business law and ethics, statistics, international economics, organisational behaviour, accounting, information systems, management, and marketing. Ideal entry point for those new to business management.
Advanced Diploma
Builds on the Diploma with deeper management coursework — business research methodology, customer relationship management, global business management, management accounting, information systems, operations management, and quantitative methods. Prepares you for supervisory and management positions and supports progression to bachelor’s degree programmes.
What Makes Our Programme Different

Frequently Asked Questions
Which level should I start with — Diploma or Advanced Diploma?
Start with Diploma if you have at least 10 years of formal education and are new to logistics and operations. Enter at Advanced Diploma if you already hold a Diploma (from SCI or elsewhere) or have completed 12 years of formal education. Our admissions team can confirm the right starting point.
What's the difference between full-time and part-time study?
Both modes lead to the same qualification. Full-time runs 15 hours per week. Part-time is 6 hours per week of evening or weekend classes — designed for working professionals.
Can international students join on a Student Pass?
Yes. As an EduTrust-certified PEI, SCI sponsors Student Pass applications for international students enrolled in our full-time courses. Our admissions team handles the full process with ICA, which typically takes 4 weeks. Part-time programmes are not eligible for Student Pass sponsorship.
How long does it take to complete both levels?
Roughly 24 months back-to-back if studied full-time (12 months Diploma + 12 months Advanced Diploma).
What if I want to progress to a university degree?
Graduates of our Advanced Diploma can apply for bachelor’s degree top-up programmes (typically Year 3 entry) at selected local private universities and overseas universities. Our pathway consulting team can advise on suitable options.
What employers do your graduates work with?
Our graduates work across diverse industries in Singapore — multinational corporations, local SMEs, banks and financial services, professional services firms, technology companies, retail and consumer goods, and trading companies. The breadth of business management skills means graduates aren’t tied to one sector.
What if my English isn't strong enough?
All Diploma students with English proficiency concerns are enrolled in our IELTS English classes alongside their Diploma classes at no extra cost.
