About the Holiday Short Course
Why a Holiday Short Course?
For many international students, school holidays are a valuable window — a chance to make real progress on academic goals, prepare for upcoming exams, or experience studying in Singapore before committing to a longer programme. Whether you’re preparing for AEIS to enter a Singapore government school, building your IELTS score for university or migration, or simply wanting to improve your everyday English in an English-speaking environment, a holiday short course turns your break into measurable progress. Singapore offers a safe environment with strong academic standards — making it an ideal place to study during your holidays.
What Makes Our Programme Different
Flexible Duration
Choose between 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks based on the time you have available. Longer durations allow for more progress; shorter durations give you a focused boost.
Year-Round Intakes
Start whenever your school holidays align — we accept short course students throughout the year, not just during summer or winter break.
Various Course Options
Choose AEIS, O-Level, IELTS, or simply English learning — depending on your goal.
Same Quality as Full Programmes
Holiday short course students join our regular classes — same teachers, same curriculum standards, same small class sizes as students in our full-length programmes.
Why Choose Spring College International
Established in 2001, Spring College International has spent over two decades preparing international students for academic success in Singapore. Here’s why families choose us for holiday short courses:

Small Class Sizes
Classes are conducted in small groups so every student gets personalised attention from teachers — important when you only have a short window to make progress.

English-Speaking Environment
Study in an English-speaking city where you can practise what you learn in everyday situations — restaurants, public transport, shopping, and casual conversations.

Individual Sign-Up
No group required. You can enrol as an individual student, giving you full flexibility on timing and duration without depending on a group booking.

Two Central Campuses
Choose between our Jurong East campus and Bishan campus, both within 5 minutes of MRT stations and bus interchanges.

What Students Gain
Holiday short course students leave SCI with measurable progress in a short window of time:

Focused Exam Preparation
AEIS, O-Level, and IELTS short course students return to their home country with stronger preparation, better familiarity with exam formats, and clearer awareness of their weak areas to continue working on.

Stronger English Confidence
English short course students leave with practical communication skills they can apply immediately — useful for daily life, work, or future academic study.

A Singapore Study Experience
All short course students gain firsthand experience of studying in Singapore — useful preparation for those considering a longer programme at SCI or studying in Singapore in future.
“Even weeks of focused, full-time preparation in an English-speaking environment can deliver more measurable progress than months of part-time study back home — which is why international students increasingly use their school holidays to advance their AEIS, O-Level, IELTS, or English goals.”
Frequently Asked Questions
How short can the short course be?
The minimum duration is 1 week. Most students choose 3–4 weeks for more meaningful progress, especially for AEIS, O-Level and IELTS preparation. The right duration depends on your goal — talk to our admissions team and we’ll recommend a suitable length.
Do I need a Student Pass to attend a short course?
Most international students attending short courses come to Singapore on a short-term visit pass (typically up to 30 days for most nationalities) rather than a Student Pass. Confirm visa requirements for your nationality with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Our admissions team can provide guidance during your application.
Will I get a certificate at the end?
Short course students typically don’t receive a formal certificate (since the duration is shorter than our standard programmes). However, on request we can provide a Letter of Attendance confirming your enrolment dates and the course taken — useful for school references or visa documentation.
How do I arrange accommodation?
Accommodation is self-arranged by the student or family. Singapore offers a wide range of options including serviced apartments, hotels, and short-term rentals. Our admissions team can
How much does the holiday short course cost?
Course fees vary by course type and duration. The fee covers tuition only — accommodation, meals, transport, and personal expenses are your responsibility. Contact our admissions team for current short course fee details.
Can I attend a short course and then continue with the full programme later?
Yes — many students do exactly this. A short course is a great way to experience SCI before committing to our full AEIS, O-Level, IELTS, or English programmes. Some students return for the full programme after their holiday short course; others continue remotely from their home country before committing to a longer in-person programme.
