Diploma in International Business Management
Objectives
This course aims to empower participants with sound knowledge and skills in the management of business operations to cope with the ever-changing business environment. Participants will be exposed to a full range of management skills that is useful to succeed in today’s business environment. This course is ideal for participants who wish to advance in their career or for those who wish to learn more about business management. Graduates of the Diploma in International Business Management course can proceed to the Advanced Diploma in International Business Management course.
Course outline
There are 8 modules in total. The modules are:
Business Law & Ethics : Identify, analyze and evaluate practical situations and issues in the context of the business environment from a legal perspective.
Business Statistics : Perform basic mathematical operations that require problem solving and critical thinking skills
International Economics : Identify the causes and effects of various issues by using the economics theories and concepts from international economics perspectives
Organizational Behaviour & Culture : Identify and explain the determinants of behaviour in organization
Principles of Accounting : Describe the role and function of external financial reports and identify their users
Principles of Information Systems : Explain systems characteristics and theory and apply basic information system concepts in an organizational context
Principles of Management : Identify and describe the principles and concepts of management and organization
Principles of Marketing : Apply the marketing concepts for future decision-making
Pre-requisites
Applicants must be at least 16 years or above AND fulfil the following requirements
Academic entry requirements: Obtain at least C6 in any 5 GCE O Level subjects or At least 9 years of formal education (particularly China, Indonesia, Thailand & Japan), or equivalent or pass the placement test of SCI.
Language Proficiency: English Language with IELTS 5.5 & above; or at least C6 in GCE O Level English; or passed the language proficiency test of SCI or equivalent.
Course Duration
Course will be completed in 9 months. There will be 15 hours of lesson time each week. Schedule of the classes will be planned to suit the course’s needs.
Course Certification
Upon completion of the 9 modules, those who fulfill the required attendance and pass all the assessments will be awarded a Diploma in International Business Management certificate by SCI.

Advanced Diploma in International Business Management
Objectives

Participants will be exposed to a full range of management skills that is useful to succeed in today’s business environment. This course is ideal for participants who wish to advance in their career or for those who wish to learn more about business management. Graduates of the Advanced Diploma in International Business Management course are equipped with the pre-requisites needed for the perusal of a formal undergraduate education in Business Management.

Management Accounting : Explain the objectives of preparing management information and the need to adapt techniques in a changing commercial environment
Management Information System : Understand and apply core knowledge in Management Information Systems
Operations Management : Identify and describe various strategic operation decisions to operate the business
Organizational Performance Management : Develop knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary for success in management and leadership positions in a variety of business, governmental education, and non-profit settings.
Quantitative Methods for Business Management : Understand different types of numerical data and different data collection processes and able to present data effectively for users in business and management
Pre-requisites
Applicants must be at least 16 years or above AND fulfil the following requirements
