Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Operations Management

Objective

To equip students with the skills to apply scientifically-based techniques to work-related problems, business forecasting, quantitative and heuristic problem-solving, logistics, quality management, and to develop decision support, scheduling and control systems. This course is ideal for students who wish to learn more about logistics and operations management, and obtain a career in the industry.

Course Outline

There are 9 modules:

  1. Business Statistics
  2. International Economics
  3. Organizational Behaviour & Culture
  4. Principles of Accounting
  5. Principles of Information Systems
  6. Principles of Management
  7. Legal Issues in Transportation and Logistics
  8. Purchasing and Procurement Management
  9. Warehouse and Inventory Management

Optional modules:

  1. Business Law & Ethics
  2. Principal of Marketing

Pre-requisites

  • Age: 16 years old and above
  • Academic Level: At least 10 years of formal education or equivalent, or pass SCI’s placement test, or one year and above of relevant work experience
  • Language Proficiency: English Language of IELTS 5.5 and above, or GCE O-Level grade C6 or better, or pass SCI’s language proficiency test or equivalent.

Course Duration

  • 9 months
  • 15 hours of lesson time per week

Course Certification

Upon completion of all 9 modules, those who fulfilled the required attendance and pass all academic assessments will be awarded with a Diploma in Logistics and Operation Management Certificate by Spring College International.

Diploma in Logistics & Operations Management

Objective

To provide students with advanced knowledge and deeper understanding in the field of logistics and operations management. Students will learn how to apply the knowledge learnt in areas of transport management, operations management, and even problem solving skills in the ever-evolving arena of the logistics and operations management industry.
